Oh my god, I made a video.
And then I tried to edit it. That part where my kid walks by me and goes into the kitchen, where he proceeds to open the door to the yard and let both the dogs in…while I’m filming. Yeah, I had to figure out how to get that out of there. Then I tried to upload it.
Let’s just say I finally figured it all out and I am posting it now. I swore I’d never do video, but you know what, I think I might like this.
How about live food demos? Outside running tips for us Pacific North Westerners? Tabata style HIIT workouts? Crossfit tips from my neighbour? Let me know what you want to see!
In the meantime, get out your workout shorts, shoes and heart monitors if you’ve got ’em and let’s get our sweat on!
Do this workout three rounds through for the best burn. Here is a text list of the moves:
15 hang squat cleans
15 mountain climbers
15 renegade rows
15 burpees
I’m heading over to Seattle today for BlogHer Food. Hopefully I’ll see you out there!
Nice! Great editing Elizabeth. Love the dissolves. And damn you look great working out!
You are awesome – thanks for sharing this and YES! you should do more video 🙂
If you havent already discovered him you would love Steve Kamb from Nerdfitness (nerdfitness.com) . He also helps people get fit in a simple weigh through strength training and eating clean (he talks mostly about paleo but in a friendly this works for me, do what works for you way)
My best friend got me invovled in strength training and exercising at the beginning of the year and I got my twin and now my husband getting into it now and its so satisfying!
Mountain climbers are killer and burpees are hell (have a love/hate relationship with them) but nothing has been better in getting results 🙂
Nice workout. Your video was great! And all of the above video ideas would be great.

Thanks Angie. I am so excited to do more!
Nice workout Elizabeth, I’m going to give it a try! It’s amazing what you can do at home with less than an hour a day. My current go-to is Jamie Eason’s 6 minute workout (although it takes me at least half an hour) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqWz2pYw3kk
Gorgeous tattoo by the way, you are looking fabulous!!
I’ve been thinking about supplements also, don’t currently take any, I think I’ll re-read your post about that. Thanks for all the inspiration!
Awesome Alynn! And thank you!
Nice work Elizabeth! I always wondered about those hang squats!
They are a great little move. If you add a press at the end, it’s even better.
This is fabulous!

Hi Christine. I have been getting asked about the tatto a lot, so I will be posting a photo of it very soon. Check out my Instagram feed above though to see a picture I took recently.
Great video! You can certainly see the effects of your workouts! Keep up the great work.

Loved the workout – I’ve never been clear and what clean lifts were, so thanks for clearing that up! What weights are you using in this? I’m currently working with 8lbs, but I want to make sure I’e got enough weight to be effective. I’m not as strong as you, but a range would be helpful. I started working out with 3lbs, so I’m happy with the improvement!
These are 15lb weights in the video Nadia. You should be able to do 12-15 reps with whatever weight you are using and the last three reps should be tough, that’s how you know it’s heavy enough.
just did this workout! you should post more 🙂
This is an amazing workout! Please post more such videos. Also, could you please tell me which workout DVDs should I buy for working out at home? I am looking forward to hearing from you.
I like P90X and Insanity, but I am a big fan of CrossFit now…:)
hi!
I did the workout yesterday and loved it – am quite sore today! How ofter do you do this workout? Are you going to post more videos?
Hi Jane,
I do a similar workout three days on and one day off 365 days a year. I am looking into doing more videos for sure!
