Personally, I don’t use cookbooks that much. They weigh me down, force me to do something within the bounds of a “recipe” and make me feel like I “need” them to make recipes. As a recipe developer and chef, I’ve never found them useful as cooking helpers…mostly as decorations and sometimes, for baking (cause, you know, science). I know there are people out there though, that LIVE in their cookbooks. There are those who collect them, going to shops all over the place and buying up whatever is on sale or seems to be a good collection of recipes. Well, if you are one of those people, today’s prize is definitely for YOU!
Coming to us courtesy of my new partner company, Shaw Media, along with Food Network Canada, today’s prize is the following four cookbooks and the above insulated sippy cup for adults! I know you can see yourself sippin’ margs outta that thing, right?!
Awesome
Cookbooks are great bases for ideas!
cookbooks are great for a lot of things. like pictures.
My favorite cookbook is Well Fed by Melissa Joulwan – the recipes are a bit more involved than what I tackle on a normal weeknight, but when I do find the time to make them I am always impressed!
Awesome spread of cookbooks!

If I had a T.V, the Food Network would be my favourite channel.
My favorite cookbook has to be my mother’s original Betty Crocker book from the early 1970’s–so many childhood classics in there!
I love cookbooks and these are some awesome ones!
I’m of two minds on cookbooks – I usually use recipes as “inspiration” and as a guideline. I make a meal pretty close to the recipe first time round, and then make adjustments to perfect it as my tastes dictate. However, working full time and being the sole cook in the household, having an easy spot to go for new ideas is super handy – any time I can save means more time for me! It’s a top priority for me to prepare healthy and flavorful home-cooked meals, and I’m certain these books would be chock-full of great ideas.
I love cookbooks! My mom has collected them all my life so I have been collecting them also! They all have a few of my favorite recipes.
I love your cooking with coconut oil cookbook!
I also love adapting recipes that are in cookbooks to my families likes and dislikes!
My favourite cookbook is a 30 year old Betty Crocker cookbook. Love remaking vintage recipes 🙂
